PROJECT
RANNA
Our mission at Ranna is to offer innovation and French manufacturing in the service of sports performance. To put it simply, we want to help athletes maximize their performance regardless of their playing field. We will explain how we do it a little later...
Why did we get started ?
To begin with, we created Ranna because we are eternal sports enthusiasts. But that is not enough. What makes us different is our approach.

Generally, a brand is distinguished by its ability to invest heavily in communication and marketing. We associate it with an image and a symbol. Ultimately, the act of buying is triggered by a feeling of identification with the brand.
But often we forget the essential point: the quality of the product. How was it made and under what conditions ? What is its environmental impact ?
At Ranna, we aim to stand out through our ability to innovate, to work on product quality and to share our social values. Restoring the proximity between the equipment manufacturer and the athlete brings us closer to the essence: passion & performance.
As you have recognized, Cédric played in Ligue 1 for 9 years and was also captain of the Aigles du Mali. Let’s not forget the Champions League! He interacts with many professional players to understand their needs but also and above all to test our products.
Alex, He is Ranna's voice. When we are called for an interview Alex is on the front line. The vision of the company is his priority, and to put Ranna on the right track, he is the link between HQ and stakeholders (partners, service providers, suppliers, customers).
Steven was trained at Racing Club de Strasbourg. He is the creative mind behind Ranna. But he prefers to be called "Artistic Director". He loves to tweak Photoshop to create content. We owe him the conception and design of our products.
OUR HISTORY
It all started with an observation of
Former high-level athletes, we were forced to note that the socks offered on the market were neither adapted nor optimized for practice. So we did a little survey, and we observed that 75% of professional footballers use alternative solutions. We wanted to understand why, so we called one hundred of them (thanks Cédric). They liked our approach and we were able to collect a lot of information.
We have heard some things !

THE SOCKS SLIP INTO THE SHOE

IT FALLS DOWN ALL THE TIME

IT CREATES FRICTION, THUS BULBS

NO OR LITTLE ANKLE SUPPORT

IT IS EITHER TOO THIN OR TOO THICK

IT DOESN'T LAST MORE THAN A 1/2 SEASON

Suddenly, we wanted to know their expectations: better responsiveness to changes of support, good support, more stability, right foot / left foot ergonomics, a material that limits friction, better moisture management...
Basically, more speed and more performance.
So we got down to business. We went through tons of product videos / photos, talked to a bunch of textile engineers, approached manufacturers and contacted research labs.
#INNOVATION
R-ONE GRIP
After many tests and a year and a half of research, the prototype was perfect, a sock that would meet the requirements of our athletes: The R-One Grip. A revolutionary product. And because it is revolutionary, we decided to have it manufactured in France. The first high performance sock 100% Made in France.
This is our universe
OUR JOB
Here is what we do concretely
We have already become “performance product” dingoes. Yes, everyone has their own thing. We shell millions of socks every day. Whoever wants to play with us at "question for a sock" has already lost. Above all, it allows us to be on the lookout for the latest innovations, trends, and to follow market developments.

#PROXIMITY
Then we get closer to the pros
Then we get closer to the pros We asked the athletes who inspire us a lot of questions. We came up with a synthesis. Why? Because performance products must meet specifications defined by the athlete himself.
Today, Ranna is validated by nearly 150 professional athletes. And that really gives us wings.
#PASSION
We work on our products with passion
This is our favorite part ! We pour a cup of coffee, sit on the sofa and get into Champions League mode. Everyone brings their ideas. We choose those that make us dream. The next day, the DA picks up his graphics tablet (still with a smirk) and puts it all on the screen.

He draws the prototypes with our ideas and the recommendations of the pros, he erases, he starts again. This first step takes him a little time. As soon as you start to get excited in front of the screen, that's a good sign. We stop. We'll talk again tomorrow. If the next day, the excitement is still there, we validate the idea. Then, we contact our suppliers to study the feasibility. We define the prototypes to be manufactured and we test them internally. Soon they will be tested in the laboratory. Last step: we send them to our pros who will heat them up on the grounds.
THE BOXER
R-UN
After the R-One line, we launched our R-UN boxer briefs, a real cloud for the crotch during the effort (with all due respect, of course), and we don't intend to stop there.

#MADEINFRANCE
We work with French manufacturers who join the project
Textile manufacturers are no longer very numerous in France, but suddenly it's a bit like a big family. We work together when we are on the same wavelength and share the same values. Obviously, when we speak the same language (literally and figuratively), it helps..
Our socks are knitted 50km from our premises at Labonal. In 2024 they will celebrate their 100 years of existence !
#KNOW HOW
We add our personal touch
The R-One Grip, for example, is always finalized at our premises in Strasbourg. Why ? Because the grip is our innovation. We want to keep this stage of production internally – It’s our magic recipe. We affix the grip, like a signature, by hand. For the packaging we chose a packer from the region, CartoEst. They offered us a 95% recycled cardboard packaging. And our offices are 14km apart...

This is just the beginning
We are not afraid to show it off, our ambition is to become the leader in performance clothing.
THE WORLD IS OURS 🙌
